Fees & Incidentals

We prefer to avoid incidental charges entirely. When additional costs are created during a rental, the applicable amount is based on the agreement, actual cost, vehicle condition, labor, downtime, and the circumstances of the reservation.

Cleaning

Excessive cleaning may be charged from $50 to $500 depending on the condition and work required. Severe contamination, biohazards, permanent staining, or specialty remediation may exceed that range when actual costs are higher.

Smoking

Smoking or vaping in a vehicle may result in a $250 smoking fee, plus any additional documented remediation or loss-of-use costs when necessary.

Tolls and citations

Tolls, parking charges, traffic citations, impound costs, and related administrative expenses incurred during the rental are the renter's responsibility. Processing or administrative charges may apply when permitted by the agreement.

Fuel and EV charge

•Missing fuel may be billed for the fuel required to restore the agreed return level plus any applicable service charge
•Using the incorrect fuel grade may result in inspection, draining, repair, towing, and downtime charges
•EVs returned below the required charge level may incur a recharge or low-battery fee
•Towing or recovery caused by avoidable fuel or battery depletion may be charged to the renter

Late or improper return

Late returns, unauthorized extensions, returns to an unapproved location, abandoned vehicles, inaccessible pickups, missing keys, or failure to follow return instructions may result in additional rental time, recovery, delivery, labor, and related charges.

Overmileage

Mileage above the included allowance is billed at the vehicle's applicable overmileage rate unless additional mileage was purchased or approved in advance.

Damage

Damage is assessed based on repair cost, parts, labor, towing, diminished value when applicable, and loss of use as allowed by the rental agreement and law. Pre-existing damage documented at check-out is not charged to the renter.

Missing items

Keys, key cards, charging adapters, cables, toll transponders, plates, accessories, documents, or other supplied items that are lost or damaged may be charged at replacement and associated service cost.
